True North

I hope your week has been a good one, it's hard to believe we are at the end of March already!

Writing this Newsletter, I feel blessed to be sitting looking at the rising sun from Townsville, Queensland, Australia for a short family gathering.  As I am here watching the sun rise, it reminds me of a constant theme in my life for years, but especially in the last few months.  True North.

Townsville is 1,900 kms north of my home.  Travelling here yesterday I was thinking about the feeling True North has in our Heart.  Have you ever felt that feeling?

True North is the feeling of knowing something is right, that your body feels the call to action from deep within.  It is the flow of life, the inner knowing that this is the right direction.

My question this week.  Do we follow this each day or save it for the big decisions?  True North to me is intuition guiding us on the best possible path.  That can be applied for everything from major choices in our lives to the foods we eat, relationships and how we approach life.

I often discuss within the clinic and The Transformation Project, the importance of getting to know and live with this feeling.  It strengthens our own self-belief of listening to our best direction.  Not being swayed by comparisonitis or guilt.

My suggestions this week.  Sit quietly each morning, tap into a feeling within which is quiet, calm, and opening.  It might take a while to move past the busy mind.  That's ok, stay with the breath using the sentence within your mind "In" on the in-breath..."out" on the out-breath.  Don't push throughs away but rather let them move through the mind as you keep your focus on the sentence and the action of breathing.

You will find in a few moments there will be a shift in the volume or intensity of the thoughts. Get to know this quieter place, it is the one that will become your "True North."  A place of inner calm your natural state.  One that will guide you, support you and truly open your higher intuition and life from within.

It is when we know we are "in-flow" in our life. When things become simpler, and even if the times are challenging there seems to be an ease and grace come to moving through the challenges.

Following True North can be life changing.  But to move in the direction, one must first get to know the feeling.  The familiarity of knowing it is what will show you when something is NOT in your best interest and that is incredibly empowering in your life.

I hope you found this topic helpful.  I have often found that once people become aware of what True North feels like.  They never lose sight of the direction again, if they do, they know which direction to turn to feel the calm again.

May you have an inspirational week.
