Following Your Heart - Even When It Feels Uncomfortable

Hello, can you believe it's February all ready?

This month I ask; have you ever known change was necessary but felt uncertain or uncomfortable about how to move forward? This is a topic close to my heart, as I’ve been there myself and supported many clients caught between the pressure, fear and the discomfort of growth.

If you follow Chinese astrology, we welcomed in the Year of the Snake last Wednesday. Now, without getting all “woo-woo” on you, this year carries a strong energy of shedding the old and stepping up into new spaces.

Growth isn’t always easy; at times, it can feel uncomfortable and even painful and so, I thought I’d highlight the topic in the hope of breaking down some of the barriers.  Whilst we often celebrate the courage it takes to create change; we often overlook or avoid discussing the discomfort that comes with it.  We need to normalise this, to say to each other, I get you, it’s not easy, but it doesn’t have to be hard and it’s going to be ok.

The Year of the Snake carries a powerful momentum for transmutation. Shedding old layers can be liberating, yet it’s rarely smooth, it can stir resistance and uncertainty. Like a snake outgrowing its skin, true renewal requires releasing what no longer fits, even when the process feels tight, uncomfortable or unfamiliar.

As the snake seeks a narrow space to shed its restrictive skin, we too must navigate the discomfort of change with awareness and trust. Growth isn’t just about the transformation itself but about moving through the messy, in-between moments that help to shape us.

If you feel the pull to change but find yourself wrestling with uncertainty or discomfort, here are some ways I help myself and my clients determine whether the pain of growth aligns with the desired outcome.

1.   Give it time: I am a believer that confusion needs time and space.  If you find yourself having an inner constant tug of war between head and heart, wait, “marinate,” feel into how the decision makes you feel in your body and emotions.

2.   Write it Out: Instead of pros and cons, list why you feel drawn to create the change and explore what holds you back or makes you feel uncomfortable or uncertain about it. Clarity will come from the reflection.

3.   Confide in someone who gets you: Talk to someone who truly listens, the person that can hold space for you without trying to solve your life.  Be clear if you want their opinion or just need to air your thoughts, this helps them and gives clear boundaries as to what you are seeking.

4.    Marinate again: Once you feel your decision is clear, give yourself time to settle into the idea as it’s important to ensure your nervous system is ready, you truly feel confident in your decision and that no “middle of the night thought ghosts” are waiting in the shadows to keep you awake.

5.   Move Forward: When you feel ready, even if a little nervous, take the next step, not a leap, but one step towards making your decision a reality, do so with trust in yourself and your ability.

6.   Be Proud:  Often, we forget to pause, smile and truly celebrate how far we’ve come, an essential part of growth. Once acknowledged, we can look ahead with excitement, embracing the possibilities we create by continuing to evolve, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Growth and change are known by many names, they aren’t always easy, but when you approach it with intention, support and self-awareness, it doesn’t have to be hard and it becomes a powerful path to embodying true freedom.

I’d love to hear, does this topic resonates with you? What small steps can you make for your dream to become your reality.

May your month ahead be one that flows with ease and grace.

Creating Clarity and Direction in the Space Between

Hello, I hope this time of year is treating you gently, though I can imagine it's busy!

As the Christmas season approaches, we often find ourselves reflecting on how quickly the year has flown by, the things we have achieved within the year and the ones we didn't.  Amongst the end-of-year concerts and celebrations with loved ones, after it is all said and done, an opening appears for the perfect time to pause and appreciate the year that was and the growth that unfolded.

Often, particularly in the southern hemisphere where we are also celebrating our summer holidays, we look towards the end of year and feel “ah good I finally get a chance to rest and breathe.” Yet, as you may know from reading my insights, I gently encourage embracing each day, deeply pausing to grow in connection within ourselves and others, moment by moment.

The End of Year as a Beginning

While December 31st marks the end of the calendar year to many, it’s not the only transition. The lunar calendar welcomes 2025 in on Wednesday, 29th January, bringing in the Year of the Snake. Amongst many other attributes, this energy symbolise wisdom, deep reflection, contemplation and great potential for transmutation.

Between Christmas and the lunar new year lies a potent period for reflection—a time to honour the year that has been, recognise who we’ve become and consider how we wish to navigate the year ahead. This window offers the perfect opportunity to set the tone for an empowering 2025 by nurturing what served us in 2024, celebrating our growth and releasing what no longer aligns. I like to call this process “sifting.”

How to make the most of this reflective period and sift out what you no longer want...
Journal Your Year - Reflect on the experiences of 2024.

o   What stood out?

o   What felt aligned?

o   What didn't?

o   What could guide your desired direction for 2025?

o   What gets left behind?

The A’s and B’s List –

o   On one side of a page, list old habits, situations, or choices that didn’t serve you ("A’s").

o   On the other, write new, supportive alternatives ("B’s").
o   We often desire change but without a plan B ready to support the new direction, it becomes difficult to achieve and maintain.

o   If you feel unsure how to do this and you'd like some help, easy reach out for free support just click here

Dream Big for Yourself
- You deserve too! –

o   Write down five things you would like to create in 2025—just for you!
o   It could be a personal passion,
o   A creative project you have always dismissed,
o   A professional direction,
o   A hobby,
o   Travel or anything that lights you up inside.

o   No negative mindset here, if you desire it - give it a go!

Intentions Over Goals - Rather than setting rigid goals for the year ahead, why not focus on organic intentions.

o   I know you've heard me say it before, intentions align with organic growth and co-creation, empowering and motivating you without the "win or lose" mindset of traditional goal setting.

o   Trust me—once you this shift this perspective and embrace intentions, they’ll become a powerful, uplifting presence in your life.

A Grateful Farewell to 2024

So, there it is, my little December insight.  I take this time to thank you readers, for your continued support, emails and messages of how relevant and helpful the topics are in your life together with your own experiences and achievements through the suggestions.  Your encouragement is so appreciated. If you’re new to these insights, you can explore past topics on my website Alli's past Insights

As we close the year, may we carry peace, harmony and connection into 2025, feeling the connection of hearts and joy as together, we rise as a conscious society, one moment and one intention at a time.  May you enjoy this precious time with those you love and creating memories that fill your cup.

How Often Do We Forget to Celebrate?

Hello I trust this insight finds you well. Thank you for the emails and messages—I truly love hearing how these reflections resonate with you.

This month, I invite you to gently consider: why do so many of us wait for the “perfect” moment to celebrate our growth, success, healing and expansion? The purpose of life, after all, is to live. Yet so often, we get caught in the cycle of daily responsibilities and goals, rushing from task to task, ending each day feeling depleted and disconnected from our own lives.

But why do we wait? What holds us back from celebrating who we are, right now?

In my work with women, I’ve seen how transformative it is when they start to separate the “white noise” of the mind from the gentle reassurance of the heart. This shift allows us to truly see and appreciate ourselves—not just for the big wins, but for each steady step forward.

So, I invite you to pause. Not for hours, just a few minutes each day. Take this time to check in with yourself. How does your life feel? Are you waiting for a “better” moment to live fully? Is there something you’re postponing, hoping circumstances will become easier?

The power to shift your life lies within the simple acts of care and kindness toward yourself. It starts by knowing who you are today, not yesterday, not tomorrow, but right now. A daily pause to reflect on what’s working and where you might need a gentle tweak can help create a life that aligns with your true desires—by tuning into the present, not waiting for some elusive future.

And if a voice says, “I don’t have time for this” or “this practice is a luxury,” I encourage you to set that thought aside. Recognise it for what it is—a limiting belief that can be gently dissolved with awareness.

You are worthy of this time. You deserve a life that feels connected and fulfilling, starting with a small moment of presence each day. Celebrate your growth, whether it feels big or small. You’ve already come so far—acknowledge it, and cheer yourself on as you continue to evolve.

If creating time for yourself feels challenging, or if mental roadblocks seem too heavy to lift, remember that I’m here. My Connect Chats click here are open for just this reason—30 minutes of genuine, caring connection where I listen and help you discover simple practices to start easing those blocks. No stress, no big sells—just a supportive human conversation.

Sometimes, all it takes is someone who cares to help you see the wisdom within yourself. Let’s continue to be, and live, that positive ripple in our everyday lives.

Until next time,

Alli

Embracing the Super Powers of Vulnerability and Feeling

I trust this Insight finds you well. Thank you for the kind and supportive responses to last month's Insight; it's an honour to know they are resonating with you.

This month I write to you from the heart of Western Australia, where the bush flowers are in full blossom and nature is once again reflecting the beauty of change. What may appear one day as a simple green weed transforms the next into a flurry of colour, texture and beauty. It’s a reminder that change is often subtle and under the surface, yet with time, it reveals astonishing growth.

Life, like nature, encourages us to step into new territories, lean into uncertainties and embrace vulnerabilities and change. Over the years, I’ve shared how vulnerability is often misunderstood—it is seen as weakness, being over emotional or a sign of "not coping." But in truth, vulnerability is a profound superpower. It’s through our willingness to be open and authentic that we can experience deep connection—with ourselves and others. Vulnerability allows barriers to dissolve, creating space for trust, honesty and more nourishing relationships.

Being vulnerable, though, often means opening another hidden power, the deeply guarded "feeling" part of ourselves. For many, this can feel uncomfortable, even frightening. But I’ve seen time and time again—both in my personal journey and with clients—how embracing vulnerability serves as a powerful catalyst for authentic living and success. The very thing we fear often falls away, replaced by strength and clarity that allows us to tap into our deeper truths and creativity.

How do you feel about welcoming vulnerability into your life?

What creative inspirations do you perhaps keep ignoring or pushing down?

Feeling deeply and the practice of allowing ourselves to experience our emotions and their effect on our physical body as a way of gauging life and its decisions, is a new and necessary ground for many. In a world that encourages logic and control, opening our emotional bodies and trusting our intuitive flow in our decision making can feel unfamiliar.  Sometimes even seen as "out there" or "woo woo."  Yet the world is awakening that within this openness lies tremendous power, a power that brings us closer to our essence and creates a sense of freedom and authenticity which is is both liberating and transformative.

As I watch nature bloom around me, I am reminded that just as flowers need time, light and care to reveal their beauty, so too do we. By allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and open to life's rhythms, we too blossom into our full potential. In doing so, we align more deeply with our purpose, and what once felt like uncertainty or fear transcends into strength and grace.

If you’re finding it challenging to lean into vulnerability or feeling overwhelmed by the process, please know that you’re not alone, many feel this way at first. If this discussion has resonated within you and you would like to take this further, please reach out for a complimentary connection chat by clicking the, clicking here sometimes, all it takes is one conversation to open new doors of possibility from within.

Remember, vulnerability and feeling are superpowers and embracing them can shape-shift your entire world into something incredible.

Let's continue to be and live as a positive ripple with  our everyday lives as our inspiration.

Until next time,

Alli

Natural Change

Hello trust this Insight finds you well?

As I sit here this morning reflecting on our wellness retreat held last Saturday and the approaching Solstice, I can’t help but feel the winds of change deepening.

Can you feel it too?

I am hearing constantly from the people I meet that they know it’s time and they are craving a deeper connection with life, that they have had enough of the busyness and frantic pace of their current lives.

No matter where you are in the world, nature is in a season of transition within the Spring/Autumn equinox, we are invited by nature to reflect and grow to transcend limiting beliefs and create open expansive health and positive natural lifestyles.

I felt it’s a good time to share six simple yet powerful daily practices that nurture clarity physically, mentally, emotionally and support your deeper connection to embodied freedom of deep joy and peace in your everyday life.

  • Rise as close to sunrise as possible, if that is a huge change from your current waking time begin to rise 10-15 minutes early over a period of time.

  • Upon waking stretch the body out into a star shape to as a way of signalling your preparation to live the day with mental, emotional and physical openness.

  • Brush your teeth and scrape your tongue (with tongue scraper not toothbrush!) for optimal digestive health.

  • With your morning choice of warm drink, walk outside to stand with your bare feet on the grass to feel and gain the benefits of the morning dew.

  • Whilst standing on the grass breathe three breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth… the exhale long and slow, signalling to your nervous system a calm and centred feeling.  Then returning to breathing in and out through the nose whilst you take in your natural surrounds to nourish your senses.

  • Finally set an intention for your day – not what you want to “achieve” but what you would like to “be” in your day – how you wish to approach, the mindset and feelings you would like to influence and steer your day.

If you would like an expanded information sheet sharing instructions and benefits to the above suggestions click here to receive your download.

May the approaching Equinox gently remind you of your ability to live in harmony with nature to transform and continue to transcend and embody the health and life you desire.

Our world is changing, and the positive ripple truly begins within each of us and how we live every day.

May life continue to inspire and live joyously through you.

Becoming an Ocean

Hello how are you?

The monthly insights intention is to share with you various ways to live daily with joy, connection and calmness.

This is an additional letter of sharing and if it sits well with you, invitation.

As I sit here in the early morning sunrise we are within the full moon in Aquarius, a time that invites us into deep reflection for the opportunity to break through concepts and societal blocks that have kept us from stepping into our true nature and living our greatest lives.

I will be the first to share that you dear one, you are your brightest light and truest guide and guru.  Yet I will also be the first to admit in a busy world where life, demands and judgments can distort our own inner connection we sometimes are lost.

My life has been and continues to be my teacher and this invitation is to gently remind you of the importance of knowing you, the real you.  How taking a few moments each morning or throughout your day can be the catalyst to begin the trickle that turns into a river that becomes an ocean of deep intuitive connection.

However,  if life, the busy mind and demands seems to always be in the way, then perhaps we have forgotten and been pushing through life, rather than letting life live through us each moment.  It sounds like such a simple shift, because it is, if you know and trust how to take those first few steps into discovering and living authentic you.

Though, if you have been finding life is too fast, there is no time for you, you are forever second guessing yourself and you wonder what it is all about.  Then I invite you to take a moment, pause as you read this sentence, look up from the screen, breath in and as you breathe out ask yourself how can I shift this?  Gift yourself the space to feel, any thoughts that come up, let them go, go deeper than the why you can't to find the why you should.  You don't need to find the answer there and then, but you will be amazed at what opens up when you give yourself the space to want different.  If you feel a block, unsure if you even know where to start, then perhaps a call where someone like myself can hold space for you to feel, to breathe, to be heard and to find that moment of nurturing may be the gift you have been holding yourself back from.  If it feels right to you please go to the contact page, it would be an honour to connect.

Do you remember how in my last letter I reflected that the larger the centre of the storm the larger the power of the storm?  The world is shifting quickly, we are being asked to step into the centre of our being and the freedom for life to live through us.

We can't always change the situations in our life, but we can learn to understand ourselves more, to identify behaviours or blocks we wish to release, in order to navigate with a different response, one with awareness where we truly live life with a clear, calm presence personally and professionally.

May life continue to inspire and live through you.

Intuitive Flow

Welcome to this letter, how are you?

As I sit here in the sun on a Sunday morning writing to you, I feel the warmth of the sun be taken by a cool gentle breeze. I can’t help but reflect that we have entered our last month of winter in the southern hemisphere (summer for our northern friends).  Changes within the seasons has a beautiful way of reflecting changes within us.

Aligning to the rhythms of nature connects us to the rhythms within ourselves.  We often push through areas in our life that drain us, whether in relationships, activities, or diet. Placing our own needs last slowly chips away at the very healthy and creative essence that is our true being.  Noticing and aligning to the rhythms of nature invite us to try new things with an easier and gentler flow.

If you consider how the larger the eye of the storm, the more powerful it is. Similarly, creating a larger calm centre within our own lives helps us to approach our daily life with a clear, calm presence.

However, often busy lives, schedules and mental barriers can make it hard to connect with our underlying intuitive flow. Our minds can reinforce unhelpful patterns and beliefs such as thinking we do not have time, that we must wait or that it is unachievable to create the change we desire.

Daily harmony practices have profoundly impacted my life and those of my clients. Here are three simple yet powerful ways to start and end your day with awareness and grounding, supporting expanding your calm grounded presence and centre:

·     Upon waking – smile, stretch into a star shape and have three mindful deep breaths, focus on the inhale as welcoming in a new day and possibilities and the exhale as opening the body to feel, flow and be in synchronicity with the gifts the day will bring.

·     When rising from bed stretch up and out with your arms, move through your spine in a flowing motion which is comfortable for you.  Please note, it is not about the depth or complexity of the stretch but your intent and your awareness of being immersed in the feelings of the stretch.  Feel yourself inviting your physical and emotional body into a new and open feeling.

·     Then bring to your mind a word that can positively influence the direction of your day. Is your intention of the day to flow and find calmness, kindness, truth, clarity?  What direction inspires you for this new and fresh day?

As you can see each item will only take a few moments, some, such as breathing, you are already doing, but now we are deepening the connection and tapping into the rhythm of it. This slight adjustment in perspective and practice can have profound positive ripples into the rest of your day and your overall health.

If you would like more ideas or to speak with me privately to create a more personalised approach for your lifestyle and needs, please email me on admin@alligarison.com

May you have an inspirational and rhythmic month ahead.

Inspiring Insights - taking the first step

Welcome, to this Insight, how are you?

I know it has been a while since we've connected, so I felt this July letter was the perfect way to reconnect and share some of the amazing adventures of the last few months.

I believe we live our greatest life by how we live today, and some months ago, I felt the call of travel. I listened to my heart, navigated through all the "reasons why I couldn't," and with the family grown, after 25 years of living in the same town, I decided to embrace the journey anyway.

In February, I embarked on a gypsy life, traveling to towns and forming new connections. My adventures have taken me to places like Broken Hill, Fremantle, Adelaide, Sydney, Central Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Townsville. Throughout these travels, I’ve been working, meeting people, and sharing the magic that unfolds when we choose differently.

In this letter, I ask: do you sometimes feel the call for something different? If so, how do you nurture it?

It doesn't have to be big or small; it just needs to be begun. Sometimes we freeze at the thought of trying something new, but isn't it in the adventure of life that we find our greatest selves, meet new people, and ignite our creative passions?

So this month my inspiration is – what have you held yourself back from? Is it a new business idea, a new creative passion or to begin a new relationship?  So many incredible opportunities just waiting for you to find your way.

For me, this journey has led to the evolution of myself, my business, and my place in the world. It’s about contemplating the legacy and the footprint I leave on the Earth.

If you have ever felt the call for change and want to explore it further, now truly is the time to put your toe in the water and see what incredible possibilities may unfold.  If you never try, you will never know.

Here are a few tips for making that first step easier…

  • Don’t let your busy schedule be your block.

  • It doesn’t have to be big, expensive or time consuming.

  • Something little is the best place.

  • 10 mins a day can be life changing.

  • If you are unsure do a brain dump of all the things you’ve always wanted to do.

  • Number them from the easiest to the ones that may take some more time and organisation.

  • Set yourself the challenge, there is no fail or succeed, there is just leaning into the unknown and feeling the thrill of your growth within it.

  • Trust me, once you begin, it becomes so much easier.

  • Remember, this is something that is just for you, something that makes your inner self smile.

If you find yourself unsure, or that blocked feels like a 10 story building, damming your inspiration, you know you only need to jump on our contact page or send an email admin@alligarison.com and we are here happy to help.

May your week ahead be a gentle one, where you hear the whispers of your adventurous creative heart.

Evolution

Hello and I hope this Blog finds you well. I know things have been a little quiet on here over the past few weeks but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy helping and supporting in positive ways.

If you jump over to our Facebook Community group you will see the evolution of the name to “Dare to Be Different.” The idea of changing the name is evolution. I believe we are naturally meant to continue to evolve. That is is important that as we grow in confidence and care of ourselves we allow that to be reflected in many aspects of ourselves. It takes courage to dare to change, to know it is time to create positive steps. Within the group you will find supportive, helpful and truthful discussions on life and all things that help us navigate it.

We have also been creating new products to support you in your growth. At the time of writing this Pivot is one that has now been released. We have many others currently in production with release in the coming weeks.

A new Podcast designed to again, support and help is also in production and we look forward to brining that to you in the coming months.

Life truly is to be enjoyed. Success and happiness is something that everyone deserves.

I truly believe how we interact with the world is how we ripple in the world.

My intention - to always ripple in a positive, supportive way.

May you continue to evolve, believe and shine, if we support part of that for you, what an absolute honour it is.

Reflection or Deflection

In the last week many of my conversations have been with women who are experiencing intense times in their lives.  I thought it laid a perfect opportunity talk about something crucial – the practice of self-reflection.

In our busy lives, it’s easy to feel like a pinball bouncing from one situation to the next.  I’ve been there, wondering if there’d ever be time for me, to work on my needs and wants, growth and inner reflection.  Then one day when the kids were with me and the day was crazy, it hit me; I had the power to create the space I craved.  Me and me alone.

In life's hustle, everything else often takes precedence – partner, kids, family, career, relationships.

I have a saying – “reflection or deflection.”

It’s a choice we face daily.

When we feel overwhelmed or have thoughts of self-doubt, do we deflect, prioritizing everything else, or do we reflect inwards, asking ourselves the deeper questions?

Our lives are closely aligned with our beliefs about ourselves, conscious and subconscious and the daily choices we make.  Perhaps instead of waiting for significant monumental change, we can initiate the shift by questioning our moment-by-moment choices.

Think about it, your day is made up of 24 hours which is made up of 1440 minutes, made up of 86,400 seconds.  WOW isn’t that powerful.  To think you have 86,400 moments a day to make a different choice, a more positive choice in the way you feel about you and the way you want to live your life?

86,400 moments each day to think kinder thoughts about yourself, have deeper trust in yourself, choose more positive ways of thinking.

You don’t have to wait for the big official pause button.

You don’t have to wait for the holiday, new job or new year.

You and you alone have the opportunity everyday to create a different choice.  It can start right here as you read these words.

Deflection puts us on borrowed time, accumulating stress until it manifests in illness or exhaustion. Self-reflection on the other hand, doesn't need to be elaborate or a ticket-tape parade kind of stuff; it can be as brief or extended as you wish. Personally for me, it involves many moments daily of pausing and noticing my breath, feeling into my day, my choices, and direction.

For business owners, this practice is even more critical.  You are your business.  Your well-being matters.  Young Mums, hang in there; it gets lighter.  For those with older families, you’ve done the heavy lifting now you can breathe and truly swim in the waters to birth the next phase of you.

I acknowledge your courage, strength and spirit no matter which stage you are in.

My message today, simplicity, take time for yourself each day, reflect often on the choices you are making in the moments.

If you're unsure how to take these first steps a gentle reminder that  the current intake of The Transformation Project is open until this Friday, 1st December.  We will not open again until July 2024, whilst we give the dedicated care and diligence to our new and current  members. At the time of writing this we have 2 positions left, do they have your name on them?

Project is different, we are proud of the awards and the recognition its positive impact is making for women because of our personal approached and our dedication to permanent transformation for each of our members in every aspect of their lives.

May your week ahead be beautiful and today, may you cherish and notice a large portion of those 86,400 gifts of special moments.

Shine bright and laugh often.

As the end of year is fast approaching, this newsletter, let's talk about cultivating nourished, soft yet consistent momentum towards the life we want to live.

In my conversations with women, a common thread emerges—their lives are busy and often demanding, and self-care takes a back seat.  Do you relate? The yearning for deeper satisfaction, nourishment, and personal time often lingers.  Even guilt for feeling this way can be heavy in our minds.  Yet we can often think there is no other option open to us, but trust me, there is.

We're about to close applications for our award-winning Transformation Project, a unique journey tailored to real lives—real women with families, businesses, and high-pressure careers. I understand the value of a gentle start, especially in hectic times.

As the New Year approaches, and you'e starting to search for the changes you long for and the how do I create those changes - you'll already have all that you need, equipped with fresh perspectives, tools, and strategies, ready to tackle it with excitement and momentum.

This is the unique offering our recent new members sought—when we chatted, they were relieved to find how easy it could be, a tailored approach to individual needs, a rare thing in these days of mass produced programs and quick fix sales.

Open Communication with you..

Hi, well again, here is a little snippet from the audio newsletter from a few weeks ago on R U OK day….

I wanted to chat today about something that I think is always important and that’s mental health. On the day of doing this newsletter, it is actually R U OK day? I wanted to talk about how often it can be in beginning the conversation of sharing honestly about ourselves that we can really help those in need.

Often to just ask someone “Are you doing ok?” Can be confronting, they are not quite sure how to answer.

Although it is an incredible and powerful conversation to start, it can often be when we allow our own vulnerabilities to be seen where great support and openness can begin..  That perhaps when we are brave enough to share that we are not doing ok, that we can give someone else permission to share a conversation with us.

In sharing we help each other.

In sharing we feel the energy of giving and receiving.

I often think that it is incredibly important that we remember that we are here to share this life together the ups and not so ups. The more we talk about it, the easier it becomes.

On this RU OK day I share with you, you are amazing you are incredible, you have strengths that you probably didn’t realise you had that through your challenges you have been brave and learned to lean into those areas, that is where you uncovered your deeper strengths.

Please know that we are here for you, there are many different platforms and ways for support that you don’t actually have to be working with me to gain those benefits.

Please also remember that the open communication with how you feel about yourself, the negative talk that you may be hearing inside your own head.

Ask yourself would you say that to someone you love?

If the answer is no then please, why would you say it to yourself?

What you think you vibrate at, you share that energy, those ripples in the world.  Self-love, self-acceptance, self-belief, wanting to create a better world begins within us and how we feel about ourselves.

Have the most beautiful day and most incredible week, until we chat again.

Breathe

Hello how are you?

I know I haven’t been in here for a while but there’s a good reason. I have been thinking for a while that I  wanted  to share with you a way to help you relax and unwind or take a moment to pause for yourself.

We all know life is busy and I understand that the last thing you need is an email box full of newsletters just staring at you wanting you to read them at some stage when you get time.

I know, I’ve been there and so for a while I have been trying to think laterally about how I can support you in a way that is uplifting and easy.   So I decided to create an audio newsletter. Unfortunately that means that much of the time my newsletter’s won’t be shared here.

But if you receive my newsletter it is giving you a way of feeling the techniques and benefits as you hear me guide you through things.

But just to ensure that you are receiving some benefit here on the blog, here is a little topic on the breathe. Yes that good old chestnut as my 21 year old would say. I truly believe that when we begin to create good breathing habits we create good health, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.   Lets have a breathe together.

When your ready:- ………………..

Breathing in and this breathe here I would encourage you to breath out through your mouth………..

Again breath in through your nose, and out through your mouth…….

This 3rd final breathe where we’re exhaling out the mouth we are just going to relax our shoulders……

Now as you breathe in notice something in front of you.

It might be nature, could be an object and as you breath out, breath if you can through your nose.

Just keep looking at the object that is in front of you whether it’s a tree, a flower, a cloud, whatever it is just keep looking at that object.

Being aware that your breathing in and your breathing out and that your mind is filled with whatever you can see in front of you.

Relax the shoulders just allow yourself to really be present in this moment.  Your mind may want to wander just keep looking at whatever is in front of you even describe it to yourself.

I’m looking at a cloud, I’m looking at a tree, or the simple sentence I like to use inside your mind, I’m breathing in, I’m breathing out.

Begin to make a conscious choice a choice that enables you and empowers you to say I’m going to release the stress I feel in my body.

So often when I speak to women they are letting me know they did not even realise how stressed their body was until we did a few breaths together. I know that when you read words sometimes its difficult to know or to gain the example behind them, the intention. And so my intention here is to help you through talking with you, sharing with you, creating sacred space for a couple of moments for you to pause and breath or to perhaps contemplate some of our topics that will come up in the coming newsletters.

I am going to keep it short and sweet….how did that feel reading this? Imagine if you were hearing it? 3 mins of someone guiding you through relaxing your body. If you aren’t already receiving my newsletters why not join. Contact page is the place to do so.

I hope to never have long arduous newsletters for you but I hope that you find that this is helpful that you can just pause, remember and have with you any moment the gift of connecting to your breathe.

If you are on Facebook and you would like to know or to receive some more helpful tips and tools then jump across to the Facebook platform where you will find my group Empowerment Epicentre. This is a group that is created for you to help you find ways of pausing centring and nurturing yourself in your everyday life.

Don’t forget there’s also the instagram and the podcasts.

Thank you so much and have the most amazing week and take care.

A Softer, Kinder Approach

Welcome, I have been feeling into this week's topic and thought I would share in the hope it may support you.

Have you ever thought about the power of having intentions in your days instead of goals?

Those of you who have been receiving my newsletter's for the last few years would have heard me speak about this powerful subject previously.  Recently I spoke on this topic to an incredible response from many of the women.  They had never given it a thought.  It helped them realise how harsh they were on themselves.  Then last week in the office, it dawned on me how something I adopted over 20 years ago in a life changing moment, something that is part of my everyday thought patterns can still hold incredible positive power.

You see for me intentions gives a softness (not weakness) but organic flow to the way I view my day.  With having been away for the past 3 weeks, on Thursday evening I did a brain dump onto paper and I wrote a list of ten intentions I was hoping to do on Friday.  They were intentions, not  goals I had to achieve.  I had no idea what the day was going to bring my way and so I made a conscious choice to be attentive, enjoy my interactions with each person and flow through the day.

Friday evening came, I had had a full day of chatting and supporting the women I work with and discovered I had been able to achieve four of the ten on the list.  I smiled to myself and said "well done."  No pressure, no disappointment, just a smile and a feeling that I had filled my day with wonderful care, support, diligence and focus.  Getting the four of ten things done left me with a positive feeling, not failure.  Now Sunday, I look at the list and all ten on the list are done.

I ask have you ever noticed how often we forget that the best laid plans aren't always in our greatest interest.  Especially our mental health.  The pressure we and society place upon ourselves as mothers, fathers, partners, employers or employees often slowly chips away at our self-worth and our ability to celebrate our wins no matter how small or big they are.  We are always striving for the next best thing, box to tick, not enjoying the ones now.

Perhaps ask yourself - Do you set goals that when they don't happen you feel you failed?  Are you able to set a softer (not weaker) but more positive organic mindset for the things you wish to get done each day/week?

Here are some helpful strategies -

Brain dump, list the things you know you would/need to get done
Prioritise them via a number system
Then smile, no attachment but be accountable.
At the end of the day, reassess what you have achieved.
What you haven't done move up the list in priority for the next day.

Seems too simple.  Yet many of the women I walk beside have found it incredibly powerful to their overall personal and professional lives.  How when they begin to soften their approach to daily life and their inner dialogue big positive things within begin to unfold.

Life is here to be enjoyed, lived and loved.  It is not about the finish line, achieving the great "A HA" moment.  There are literally billions of them in your life.  It is about noticing the every moment, that is where the big wins happen.

Any questions reach out for a connect-chat.

What intentions will you set for the week ahead?  Let me know I'd love to hear.

Thank You

Welcome, I trust your week has been a good one.

I wanted to write, share and thank many of you who have written in about my recent co-authored book launch of Threshold - Stories of Initiation.  Wow, what a positive response was received from around the world.

The book went Number 1 Best-Seller on multiple categories (nine in Australia and two in the United States) and Best Seller across all categories in Amazon within hours of being released.

I am humbled to be part of a project where fifteen women chose to share their story with the intention to inspire others of the inner strength and resilience that the human has.  That in a time of great change, listening to the inner Self can have transformative results personally and professionally.

For myself personally it has been an incredibly freeing experience.  I am forever grateful to those of you who have supported me through this journey and to those of you who I have now had the honour of meeting through the book.

The 3D book launch will be last week in July  and we will be holding some local Mid-North Coast Newcastle and Central Coast events over the coming months.

I am also taking part within a Facebook Summit of all the authors of which you are welcome to attend the week of 24th July.  I will be sharing more about that in the coming weeks.

I am honoured to be of service, to walk beside women who know it is time, that the inner voice is guiding them to rediscover the passion and follow their "True North."

Again from my heart, in gratitude.

The Gift of Patience

I trust the information from our Winter tips was helpful to you.  I could not help but write this week on something which I consistently reflect to family, patients, students or members of
The Transformation Project - the kindness in the gift of patience.

We live in a world where fast, instant result is expected, yet we are ultimately nature, a microcosm of the macrocosm.  Nature reflects to us constantly to embrace patience.  A strong eucalypt tree does not instantly appear.  It begins its journey from a small seed, is nurtured, receives nutrients and grows through the seasons to gain its strong roots and have the ability to weather the difference seasons and storms it must face.

We sometimes forget, the time, the patience and the nurturing we gift ourselves are OUR DEEP GROUNDING ROOTS, to weather the storms of life.  We as humans go through seasons of our lives, we have periods of openness, freedom and feeling of great light.  We also have times of tightness, challenges and storms.  It is how we learn to grow.  It is in remembering nature's way of being patient we gain true perspective.  That you won't always get an immediate result, that life is meant to be lived, experienced and enjoyed in all its seasons.

Look at some of the elements to see how we can reflect this within ourselves and our lives -

Ether - the ability to expand
Air - the ability to move
Fire - the ability to cleanse
Water - the ability to flow
Earth - the ability to ground

Each day, each moment you are being asked to do all of these things.  When you flow with life, knowing healing, growth and change in seasons is natural, it will support the mind to take a back seat and the inner critic to dissolve.  The heart understands patience, and when we choose to live and share patience, we truly bring grace to our way of life.  The ripple extraordinary.

I hope this has been helpful to you in perhaps reflecting a more gentle, patient approach to your own healing path and an ever changing society and expanding conscious reality.

In respect of your resilience, courage and strength,

Winter

I trust this blog finds you flowing through your weeks.

It's hard to believe Winter is here in the southern hemisphere.  Watching the sunrise on the 1st June, it reminded me how quickly time and change in nature occurs.  That noticing and flowing with these changes can positively support our health on many levels and that this is something which can be forgotten in a busy life.

Winter is a time of reflection, hibernation, shorter days and hopefully a slower pace. I thought perhaps a few tips from the incredible “sister sciences” of Ayurveda and Yoga may help you in your immunity and health during this winter.

Veda sees winter as “Kapha” month.  Meaning qualities of cold, damp, cool and moist are dominant.  It also shares the philosophy of “like attracts like.”  Meaning, if you add more cold to something which is cold it gets colder.  Common sense right?  Well that is the funny thing we do not think of our gut, lungs, respiratory or mind in this way.  We often eat the same types of foods or practice the same habits/exercise all year round, giving little thought to the outer environment and temperature changes.

Immunity comes from the gut and keeping the environment balanced delivers optimal health.  Like goldilocks and the three bear's porridge, we don’t want it too cold, or too hot, we want it  just right.

What steps can we take to create optimal health?

Here are some simple tips to support -

  • Begin each upon morning with three deep exhalations to clear the lungs of stale air and ensure to wake the diaphragm.

  • Brush teeth on rising to remove toxic build up on the teeth.  Want to know more?  Email admin@alligarison.com

  • Take in the morning sunlight to help with mental/emotional health and eyesight.  Watching the new day can create a deep feeling of calm and connection and give you the extra resilience you are looking for.

  • Eucalyptus steam inhalation (yes that good old practice) is wonderful for clearing and keeping our respiratory system in optimal health.

  • Ensure to eat and drink warm nourishing foods to ensure a good temperature and environment in the gut and respiratory systems.

  • Avoid cold damp foods such as yoghurt, cheeses, carbonated drinks.  Occasionally are fine but if they are part of your everyday diet with the colder weather now upon us, it is only a matter of time until too much cold, damp builds up and harvests deeper respiratory or immunity issues.

  • Spend a few moments several times through your day and take 3 mindful breaths in and out the nose.  We often forget to breathe well and this can build mucus in the system and harvest disease.

  • Regular sleep.  Try as best to wake and sleep close to the same time each day.  Winter has shorter days to reflect a quieter pace, a time of nourishment, nurturing and rejuvenation.  Regular sleep is incredibly important for immunity and the body’s ability to heal.

Adopting some of these suggestions will support your immunity, health and general wellbeing.

Prevention of illness, through creating awareness of proactive, positive habits will always be an empowered step in your physical, mental and emotional health. If you have any questions email

Have an inspirational week.

Sacred Earth Mother

Thank you to everyone who emailed last week enjoying the reflection of the importance of self-nourishment and who related to the inner-guilt dialogue.  I hope it helped to begin a conversation within yourself that will ultimately set you free to nurture yourself more deeply.

This week as my time in the sacred land of Bali draws to a close and many of our Australian readers prepare for the celebration of Mother's Day this weekend.  I can't help but be inspired to write about the Mother we all having in common - our beloved Earth Mother.

She truly is a Mother that is selfless, loving, inspirational and will always hold us deeply in a place of serenity if we pause and open our senses and heart to her.  I personally have always found my greatest solace and inspiration when I spend time in her presence.

The energy and feeling from our natural world is one that is deeply connected within us, for we are nature.  Each human is a micro to the macrocosm of the universe and there are many modalities including Yoga and Ayurveda that remind us of this.  Often this is forgotten within the demands of a busy life.  Over the years I have had the honour of witnessing many students that one they slowed and calmed through breath, deeply connected with their inner universe to find immense peace. Nothing in there outer world had changed, yet everything in their world had changed, because they connected.  How they view the world, themselves and their interaction with life is forever transformed.  It is important that we do not place these sacred connections on hold for holidays or yoga classes, but instead embrace a calmer pace of life that enables us to feel and live daily with this deep relationship.  What small things are you able to do each day that will help merge your inner and outer worlds.

Perhaps a walk;
Time away from the stimulation of your devices to sit in nature and breathe;
Noticing the sunrise, sunset or sound of birds.
Breathing in through the nose and out slowly and deeply through the mouth.

These are small yet powerful ways of reconnecting in a busy day.  Some may even say they are common sense, but I ask, are they being practiced?  I often reflect to patients how these little practices can have huge results as we create a habitual way of letting stress go so that at the end of the day you feel joy and nourishment  instead of overwhelm and burnout.

This subject is something I will be sharing in my upcoming Sacred Space Retreat on Saturday 27th May.  Where we will share a full-day of nourishment and immersion within stillness, breath, mantra, yoga and connecting to the deeper natural inner rhythms of ourselves.  Not to mention incredible delicious food lovingly created by Belle.   It is being held on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia.  It would be an honour to have you within the space.  You will find more details on the home & store page or email me if you have any questions, numbers are limited with only a few spaces left.

Enjoy the upcoming week, may you find inspiration to deepen your connection within the inner and outer natural wonder of yourself.

Going Deeper

I hope this Blog finds you well.

You may have noticed I have not written a Blog for last few weeks.  As many of you know I prefer to not write a Blog because of habit, but rather out of inspiration.

This week I am inspired beyond belief on a topic which I have spoken about many times.  The one of self-care, nurturing and stillness.

For myself it is part of my every day existence and yet it was reflected within my meditation recently how as we grow and go deeper within so our practices of being nurtured should as well.

I am someone who has lived a beautiful yet simple life.  Travel out of my home country of Australia  had not been something that called me.  With my family now grown and watching my children travel I felt inspired.  I have felt a deep connection to one place for a long time, Bali.

With many physical challenges over the last few years I have felt my Spirit grow in ways I only dreamed of.  Still I was acutely aware that my physical body was depleted and in great need of nourishment.  Listening to my heart and with the love and support of my family I have travelled to Penestanan Village, Ubud Bali to receive such nourishment.

Eternally grateful for this opportunity, this week I reflect how important it is to understand that permission to nourish yourself is one that comes from deep within your heart.  Many things may be placed in front of creating such nourishment.  Commitments, worthiness, financial situations and even guilt and so it is put off to another day.  When in reality by allowing ourselves to be nourished we become better humans, hold a wider heart and deeper ability and capacity to share love and kindness.

I reflect this not in telling but sharing.  Please be gentle with yourself, kind as you heal, generous as you learn, patient as you grow and compassionate as you forgive.

Our world is changing because we are changing.  We are learning on a deeper level how precious life is. Not to waste a moment and to live each one deeply connected through our heart.  Heart connection within ourselves enables a deeper heart connection with each other.

You do not need to travel to feel this nourishment, nor does it need to be expensive.  It is found in a moment, a breath, in looking at the ocean, sky or trees.  It is in the embrace of a loved one, where you just hug with no words.  It is in the silence or stillness you allow yourself in the early morning meditation.  If you find it hard to quieten the mind perhaps the free Inner Light Podcast I share may be of support.

If you feel you would like a day of nourishing perhaps my upcoming Sacred Space Retreat being held on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, may be of interest.  Check Store page for details.

I hope you feel my gratitude through these words.  That you will discover a new deeper way to continue to nourish and be kind to yourself in the coming week.

Choose Your Frequency Wisely

Welcome, I hope this week’s Blog finds you well.

As you can see we have some new things happening with changes to the look of the the Website.

I am often reflecting on our ability to continually grow and so as I expand and grow so do the platforms on which I share.  I hope you enjoy the expanded work you will see over the coming months.  My intention is always to support you in your own empowered growth into transformational living.

I am always grateful to receive emails of thanks and support for the topics within the newsletters and blogs, reading these emails from around the world is an honour.  The amount received last week with my topic of True North was exceptional.  It seemed to hit a deep chord with many.

True North is something which has guided me for much of my life, even if I wasn't fully aware of it at the time.  It has become such an integral part of who I am as a person and the direction I choose to grow, live and share from.

It is crucial we learn the importance of following our True North, the inner knowing of the direction that feels natural, calm and true.

I often share within The Transformation Project that each of us emanates a frequency, like a radio station.  Our internal dialogue and belief systems add to that frequency.  It is our responsibility to ensure what we wish to bring to the world is what we have within our own "inner world."

We are in a time of immense change.  One where we are being asked to let go of old patterns of behaviour and reactions.  One where we are being asked to feel rather than think our way through situations.  It is in the feeling from our Heart that brings love to situations in our lives, not the dialogue and thoughts of past events.  How do we grow or enable others to grow if we keep bringing past events or patterns with us.  There must be a turning point of trust in the ability of healing and growth within the new moment for things to evolve.  This is a positive habit to cultivate, following your Heart rather than your mind or hurt from past.

As we experience shifts in consciousness many are watching relationships evolve.  At times this can be incredibly tricky and even painful.  If one chooses to bring the present moment of the here and now to the conversations it will quickly reflect love, empathy, compassion and healing.  Growth and evolution of the relationship and empowerment for all is the outcome.

It isn't always easy, but one thing is for certain: we are at the precipice of great change and living in a Golden Age.  It requires living presently, seeing and owning our behaviours, thought patterns and communication.  As you know I am one who will always reflect on the importance of clear communication with your own feelings and intentions before attempting to communicate with others.

Journalling, whether that is written, recorded or speaking out aloud to yourself are all great ways of gaining clarity.  It helps to feel through situations rather than thinking internally.  Often this will enable a deeper heart connection to situations and help guide you to see a clear kinder path for yourself and others.

Perhaps in the coming week, begin to notice your internal dialogue.  Begin to take proactive steps if it is caught in the past or future.  Self criticism will lead to more criticism within yourself and others.  Instead perhaps take a moment to bring awareness to your breath, Heart and the moment.  Feel the power of living in the present moment, it will literally transform the frequency that you bring to your world and support the change of frequency of our beloved Earth.

May you continue to inspire you.
